The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

The author

Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.

The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
